John Dalton

Former Secretary of the Navy

John H. Dalton served as the 70th Secretary of the Navy and was recognized by the National Security Caucus as their 1997 International Security Leadership Award recipient. After graduating from the US Naval Academy, he served on two submarines. In 1977, President Carter nominated him as president of the Government National Mortgage Association (“Ginnie Mae”) and later a member and then Chairman of the Federal Home Loan Bank Board. In July 1993, President Clinton nominated him as Secretary of the Navy where he served for five and a half years.

In the private sector, Secretary Dalton began his career with Goldman Sachs. Between his two government tenures, he served in leadership positions of several financial firms. Secretary Dalton attended Louisiana State University one year before attending the US Naval Academy where, as Deputy Brigade Commander (the Brigade number two ranking position), he graduated with distinction in 1964. He was inducted into the LSU Alumni Hall of Distinction and was awarded an honorary Doctor of Laws Degree from Trinity College. In 2016, he received the Distinguished Graduate Award from the Naval Academy and was also named an honorary Canon of the Washington National Cathedral.

Craig Weatherup

Craig Weatherup is founding Chairman of The Pepsi Bottling Group. In that role he is considered a pioneer thought leader in both governance and market strategy.  Craig has demonstrated throughout his career that sustainable leadership requires agility in focusing on the end game while staying flexible in the game plan—all while holding true to your core values. He served as Chairman until 2003 and currently sits on the boards of such companies as Macy’s Department Stores Inc., and Starbucks Coffee. He is past Chairman of The Arizona State University, Board of Trustees.


Before joining PepsiCo, Weatherup served as an executive in brand management for General Foods Corporation. He is a native of Syracuse, New York, and he holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Arizona State University. He enjoys hiking and reading. He and his wife, Connie, have three children and live in Scottsdale, Arizona.

Gerry Sandusky

Baltimore Ravens Broadcaster, Sports Director, WBAL

Gerry Sandusky is the play-by-play voice for the NFL’s Baltimore Ravens, a New York Times best-selling author of Forgotten Sundays, and the sports director for Baltimore’s NBC affiliate, WBAL-TV. Gerry is President of The Sandusky Group, a leadership communication company focused on helping leaders transform the impact of their communication, accelerate their career, and expand their influence.

Gerry was honored with an Emmy award in 1992 for his story on the uncertain future of Memorial Stadium. He won a second Emmy award in 2003 for a tribute special to the late Johnny Unitas. Gerry has also won two Edward R. Murrow awards.

Mark Batterson

Mark Batterson serves as lead pastor of National Community Church in Washington, DC. NCC is focused on reaching emerging generations and meets in theaters throughout the DC metro area. NCC also owns and operates Ebenezers Coffeehouse, The Miracle Theatre, as well as the DC Dream Center. NCC is also redeveloping a city block located at the intersection of Capitol Hill, Navy Yard, and Riverfront neighborhoods. The Capital Turnaround will be a mixed-use space, including an event venue, child development center, marketplace, and co-working space. Mark holds a Doctor of Ministry degree from Regent University and is the New York Times best-selling author of 19 books.

Dave hICKEY

Dave Hickey serves as executive vice president and president of the Life Sciences segment of BD (Becton, Dickinson, and Company), a leading global medical technology company. He oversees the global operational, commercial, and financial performance of the businesses that comprise the Life Sciences segment that span the continuum of discovery, translational, diagnostics, and therapy selection, including Biosciences, Integrated Diagnostic Solutions, and Point-of-Care.

Under Hickey’s leadership, IDS became instrumental in the global fight against SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19), overseeing the development, launch, manufacturing, and distribution of critical molecular and rapid point-of-care tests as well as critical swabs and viral transport systems. Today, he leads a team of more than 18,000 associates united in a vision to shape the future of healthcare through the translation and delivery of innovative technologies to advance life sciences medical research and create impactful diagnostics solutions for customers and the patients they serve.

Hickey is an active participant on the boards of directors for AdvaMedDx, Greater Baltimore Committee, Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, and the University of Maryland, Baltimore (UMB) Health Sciences Research Park.

Ken Singleton

Former Baltimore Oriole and Sports Announcer

Ken Singleton is an American former professional baseball player and television sports commentator. He played in Major League Baseball as an outfielder and designated hitter from 1970 to 1984. most prominently as a member of the Baltimore Orioles. He was a three-time All-Star player and was a member of the 1983 World Series winning team. He also played for the New York Mets and the Montreal Expos.

In 1982, Singleton was named the recipient of the Roberto Clemente Award and, in 1986, he was inducted into the Baltimore Orioles Hall of Fame. He went on to a long career as a broadcaster, most prominently for the New York Yankees from 1997 to 2021.

Michael Gill

Maryland Secretary of Commerce

Secretary Mike Gill is a business leader with four decades of experience as an entrepreneur, technology executive, investment banker, and public servant. He was tapped by Governor Larry Hogan in 2014 to lead the Maryland Department of Commerce as its first-ever Secretary and was asked by the Governor to again lead the Department in December 2021. 


Mike led the transition to Maryland Commerce in October 2015 and spearheaded a major cultural shift in the way the department interacted with its partners, stakeholders and customers. Under Mike’s leadership, Commerce created an aggressive customer outreach effort, expanded its business development team, and increased emphasis on Maryland’s growth industries, including life sciences, cybersecurity, advanced manufacturing, as well as higher education. Mike most recently served as chairman and principal of Evergreen Advisors, a Mid-Atlantic middle market investment bank that has completed over 100 M&A and capital raising transactions, totaling over $5 billion in value for publicly traded and privately held companies. He is also Chairman of the Board of Directors of St. Joseph’s Medical Center (part of University of Maryland Medical System).

Doug Holladay

Doug is a the Founder and CEO of PathNorth, a non-profit dedicated to helping business owners and CEOs define success more broadly. Through peer-to-peer learning, PathNorth focuses on creating space for leaders to have conversations on finding meaning and significance in work and life. Additionally, Doug holds the Heinz Christian Prechter Executive-in-Residence position at Georgetown University where he teaches MBA students.

Doug was formerly a senior officer with the international investment banking firm Goldman, Sachs and Company, headquartered in New York. At Goldman Sachs, he worked in the Investment Banking Division on a range of matters, strategic and administrative as well as on certain international transactions with a governmental component.

Prior to joining Goldman, Sachs, Doug held senior positions in both the White House and Department of State. After working under White House Chief of Staff, James A. Baker III, he was appointed by the President to the personal rank of Special Ambassador, charged to coordinate major aspects of the U.S. public response to the challenges posed by South Africa prior to the dramatic release of Nelson Mandela.

Frank Kelly

Frank Kelly III serves as CEO of Kelly & Associates Insurance Group. Under Frank’s leadership, Kelly Benefits has become one of the nation’s largest and fastest-growing providers of group insurance, benefits and payroll solutions for employers of every size.

Outside the office, Frank is involved in many community and civic activities. He served as Chairman of the Maryland Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) and on FCA Lacrosse Leadership Boards for nearly 20 years. Frank also serves or has served on many non-profit boards, including Calvert Hall College High School, Calvert School, USA Lacrosse Foundation, Maryland Chamber of Commerce, The Maryland Zoo in Baltimore, Living Classrooms Foundation, Cal Ripken Sr. Foundation, Greater Baltimore Committee, AFRO Charities, Inc., Signal 13 Foundation, Maryland Family Institute, Baltimore City FCA and the World Vision Leadership Council. Frank and his wife, Gayle, served as co-chairs for Helping Up Mission’s $61 million Inspiring Hope campaign, which built a new 145,000-square-foot Center for Women & Children in East Baltimore.

A 1986 graduate of Cornell University with a degree in business management, Frank was recognized as a Red Key Scholar-Athlete, played football, and captained the lacrosse team, where he was an All-Ivy League selection. Frank was an assistant football and lacrosse coach for many years at Calvert Hall College High School in Towson, Maryland, and has coached youth teams in soccer, football, basketball, baseball and lacrosse. He is also the author of Look & See and Influence and The Creator’s Game.

Dr. Bradley Schlaggar

President and CEO, Kennedy Krieger Institute

Dr. Bradley Schlaggar is the president and CEO of Kennedy Krieger Institute and holds the Zanvyl Krieger Faculty Endowed Chair at Kennedy Krieger. He is also a professor of neurology and pediatrics at The Johns Hopkins University. At the Institute, Dr. Schlaggar leads a team of more than 2,800 full and part-time staff and faculty members to advance the organization’s longstanding mission of improving the lives of children, adolescents and young adults with disorders and injuries of the brain, spinal cord and musculoskeletal system. 


Before joining Kennedy Krieger in 2018, Dr. Schlaggar served on the staff and faculty of the Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis for 19 years, including four years as the division head of pediatric and developmental neurology, co-director of the Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities Research Center and neurologist-in-chief at St. Louis Children’s Hospital. 


Dr. Schlaggar is a highly sought-after lecturer. He has published nearly 150 research papers and is recognized as a highly-cited (i.e., in the top 1 percent) investigator.. He has been recognized with numerous awards for research, mentorship, clinical care and community service.

Robert L. Wallace

Business entrepreneur

Robert L. Wallace is an accomplished engineer, entrepreneur, author, keynote speaker, and internationally known business consultant. Mr. Wallace is routinely sought after by the world business community. Further, he has gone on to create three successful companies - BITHGROUP Technologies, Inc., Bithenergy, Inc., and EntreTeach Learning Systems, LLC. Rick Bernstein

Founder & CEO of First Fruits Farm

Richard Bernstein spent most of his career managing money as one of the early partners at Brown Advisors. He left his job as an investment manager to become a gardener” full-time at First Fruits Farm, the nonprofit he began. The farm grows food solely for those with food insecurity on 281 acres in northern Baltimore County. It donates a million pounds of potatoes, almost 700,000 pounds of green beans and sweet corn, 100,000 pounds of tomatoes, and 4,000 dozen eggs annually, partnering with the Maryland Food Bank, the Central Pennsylvania Food Bank, Catholic Charities USA, and dozens of other food banks, pantries, churches, and schools. To accomplish this, volunteers—from schools, churches, and businesses—come every year to the farm to harvest, help, and learn about agricultural life.

First Fruits Farm is a non-profit Christian ministry dedicated to providing fresh, nutritious food for the hungry through volunteer service and community partnerships. The Farm donates 100% of everything we grow and distribute to feed those struggling with food insecurity in the Mid-Atlantic region.

Kelly Schulz

Secretary of Commerce, State of Maryland

Kelly Schulz is a successful small business owner and served seven years in Governor Hogan’s administration as the Secretary of Labor and Secretary of Commerce.

In her most recent role as Secretary of Commerce, Kelly oversaw the state’s primary economic development agency, responsible for attracting new businesses, job growth, and workforce development. Under Kelly’s leadership, the department also served as the largest resource to provide financial assistance to struggling Maryland companies adversely impacted by COVID-19.

Newly-elected Governor Hogan recognized her for her knowledge and expertise on economic matters, and she was appointed as Secretary of the Maryland Department of Labor, Licensing and Regulation (DLLR) in 2015. At DLLR, Kelly managed nearly 2,000 employees and oversaw an annual budget of $375 million. Under her leadership, Maryland’s apprenticeship program grew to its highest level since 2008, with more than 10,000 apprentices statewide, and received national recognition as one of the top programs in America.

In 2018, after Governor Hogan’s reelection, Kelly assumed her role in the Department of Commerce, where she continued her positive approach to building relationships with various industries to improve their opportunities within the state. Kelly likes to promote Prosperity with a Purpose – bringing more opportunities to the state affects those that would not otherwise have opportunities.

Robert McCullough

Chief of the Baltimore County Police Department

Chief McCullough is 35-year veteran of the department. McCullough is the first African-American leader of the nation’s 21st largest police agency. McCullough has rejoined the department after retiring as a Colonel and Operations Bureau Chief in 2021. Over his 35-year career, McCullough, who started as a cadet at the age of 18, and became a patrol officer in the North Point Precinct upon graduating from the police academy, has served in a number of senior leadership roles, including Bureau Chief of Criminal Investigations, Eastern Patrol Division Commander, Captain of the Wilkens Precinct, and the department’s Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness Commander. A Baltimore County resident for over 30 years, McCullough has received education through Johns Hopkins University’s Police Executive Leadership Program. He holds a Bachelor’s of Science and a Master’s of Science in Management from Johns Hopkins University.

Leslie Mancusco

CEO, Jphiego

Dr. Leslie Mancuso is the President and CEO of Jhpiego, an international nonprofit health organization affiliated with Johns Hopkins University. For 44 years and in 155 countries, Jhpiego has worked with frontline health workers to design and implement low-cost innovative solutions to prevent the needless death of women and their families. Since Dr. Mancuso’s arrival at Jhpiego in 2002, the organization’s budget grew from $5 million to $408 million, and the number of public health programs expanded from 4 to 100. Jhpiego has about 4,000 employees, up from only 188 in 2002, and 90 percent of them are in the field.

Dr. Mancuso is a recognized international business leader with a track record of success in bringing accountability to and navigating changes in the international nonprofit sector. Dr. Mancuso has over 25 years of experience in developing public and private partnerships with organizations such as the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Chevron, ExxonMobil, GE Foundation, GlaxoSmithKline, Laerdal Medical, Merck, and USAID. Dr. Mancuso was appointed as Jhpiego’s President and CEO following a 13-year career with Project HOPE, where she served as Chief Operating Officer and then as Acting CEO.

Dr. Mancuso has also received many prestigious business and professional awards, including the Regional Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award, Smart CEO BRAVA Business Women Achievement Award, and Maryland International Business Leadership Award from the World Trade Center Institute.

Chris Moore

Chris is the President of PathNorth and brings more than 4 decades of experience in the hospitality and social impact sectors. Chris joined PathNorth in September 2022, following a career marked by innovation, leadership, and a deep commitment to social change.

Prior to PathNorth, Chris served as Chief Executive of The Clink Charity, where he pioneered a nationally recognized model for prisoner rehabilitation. Under his leadership, The Clink grew from a single site to 50 initiatives across the UK, including restaurants, gardens, and kitchens inside prisons, raising over £10 million in philanthropic funding. Earlier in his career, Chris held senior roles in the hospitality industry.

Chris serves as a non-executive director of Westminster Abbey Enterprises Ltd and as a trustee of Onwards and Upwards, a charity that trains prisoners in bike repair and provides affordable bicycles to low-income families. He is also a co-founder of the Social Gastronomy Movement, a global network using food to drive social change, now active in 60 countries and over 200 community projects. In recognition of his service, Chris was awarded the Freedom of the City of London in 2021.

Jeff Cochran

Bruce McIndoe

Prior to joining WorldAware, Bruce worked with a number of government agencies including NSA/CIA, DoD and NASA. He has also served as a lead architect on intelligence programs for the US government.

Craig Jones

Craig Jones is the SVP Global Distribution & Logistics at Under Armour. Craig has over 25 years of Supply-Chain experience across all corners of the globe. His expertise expands from Raw materials to the end Consumer including Multi- Channel high volume Supply-Chain Retailing.

Craig is known for having lots of energy and the ability to get the best out of people of all cultures and backgrounds. He currently oversees the supply chain functions of inbound, outbound transportation, customer service, customs, trade, distribution centers and OMNI fulfillment operations worldwide.
